The Lester House is a private residence built in 1887 that the current owners have been unable to occupy since purchasing the property in 2019. They reached out to our group after experiencing repeated unexplained phenomena including footsteps on the upper floor when the house was empty, a rocking chair that moves on its own, doors that lock from the inside without occupants present, and β most disturbingly β a young child repeatedly asking "who is the man upstairs?" during viewings. Our group of four conducted a full overnight investigation after a detailed walk-through with the owners and a review of the property's history. Records indicate two deaths on the premises: a male occupant in 1923 and a female child in 1941. The male death was ruled accidental but local records from the period contain some ambiguity. We entered at 10:00 PM and vacated at 6:15 AM.
The upper bedroom (south-facing, second floor) was immediately active. Two of our team members independently reported feeling a strong sense of being watched within the first fifteen minutes. The K-II meter spiked to red three times in this room with no identifiable electrical source β the room had been deliberately disconnected from mains power prior to our arrival to eliminate interference. At 11:42 PM, the EVP recorder captured a Class A response during a questioning session. The question asked: "Is there someone here with us tonight?" The playback contains a clear male voice saying what sounds like "still here." This was not audible to anyone present at the time of recording. All four investigators were accounted for and none of us spoke. The spirit box session between 00:15 and 00:40 AM produced several notable responses. When we asked for a name, the word "HAROLD" came through on two separate sweeps approximately 40 seconds apart. Cross-referencing with property records the following day: a Harold Dempsey is listed as the occupant who died on the property in 1923. At 01:30 AM the geophone sensor on the staircase triggered three times in succession, consistent with footsteps descending the stairs. No one was on the staircase. The motion sensor at the top of the stairs did not trigger, which is unexplained β it should have registered movement if a physical person had caused the geophone to activate. The thermal camera captured an anomaly at 03:20 AM in the downstairs parlour: a cold spot approximately the size and shape of a seated figure in the rocking chair. Ambient temperature at that point was 68Β°F; the cold spot registered 54Β°F. The shape dissipated over approximately 90 seconds. Full spectrum camera captured two light anomalies in the upstairs hallway β not lens flare (we tested under identical conditions), moving slowly before disappearing into the wall adjacent to the room where the 1941 death occurred. This is the most active property our group has investigated in six years of operation.
Strong evidence was documented. This investigation has produced significant findings.
